What is the opportunity?

A key IT role within Wealth Management Technology & Solutions, Processing Solutions Canada team, you will be a Business System Analyst that will act as an SME for Wealth Management Canada’s Broadridge custody platform and provide leadership covering a range of project development activities. You will work in collaboration with IT and Business Partners to assess, research, and analyze needs to support business projects and strategy.

What will you do?

  • Work with IT and Business Partners to understand business requirements and provide analysis and specifications that align development initiatives with product roadmaps, design, and architecture standards.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of Broadridge vendor platform and internal interfacing applications to provide expert counseling to application development community.
  • Elicit, analyze, interpret business and data requirements to develop complete solutions, including data mapping, business rules and system specifications.
  • Contribute to Wealth Management Technology scalable solutions within the Processing Solutions Canada team.
  • Provide guidance to colleagues and internal business and operational stakeholders related to Broadridge’s vendor platform and external project needs in gathering and assessing requirements and functional changes.
  • Lead complex group meetings (including business partners) for technical design, decision making, problem solving, implementation and strategic planning.
  • Monitor work progress and internal client satisfaction and recommend changes for continuous improvement.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Strong business domain understanding of Wealth Management, strong analysis and documentation skills, and solid background dealing with Wealth Management applications.
  • Ability to work independently, apply critical and strategic thinking to issues, and manage deadlines while multi-tasking among different projects and priorities.
  • Strong ability to create Technical Specifications for development teams to build the product solutions.
  • Superior relationship building, communication & presentation skills, organizational knowledge, and leadership skills with a proven ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and complex environment.
  • Professional with experience on large projects/programs with multiple applications and multiple interfaces and/or 3rd parties.
  • Experience with Agile methodology and familiar with Confluence and Jira tools.
  • Experience with planning, estimating, budget management, reporting and coordination of team activities.

Nice-to-have

  • Working experience with Front, Middle and Back-office teams of Wealth Management.
  • Working experience with various asset classes such as Fixed Income, Equities, Derivatives, Money Market Instrument and OTC Derivatives
  • Working experience with databases and data repositories.
  • Team player known for providing creative thought leadership while also listening to, and engaging others.
  • Ability to challenge the status quo.
