Responsibilities

Design Process Competency

  • Demonstrate a grasp of design processes, exhibiting sound judgment in each phase. Use appropriate tools throughout the design journey to effectively conceptualize and convey your ideas.

In-Depth Understanding

  • Gather both quantitative and qualitative data to inform your design decisions. This includes conducting user interviews, analyzing analytical data, and incorporating feedback through iterative design processes.

Design Expertise

  • Create designs following established patterns and visual frameworks where relevant. Ensure alignment with our design system and contribute to its ongoing refinement.

User Experience Excellence

  • Take a holistic approach to user experience, considering various scenarios and edge cases. Develop interactive prototypes for cross-functional testing and user feedback.

Collaborative Communication

  • Foster a culture of sharing work early and frequently, encouraging colleagues to seek constructive feedback. Collaborate closely with fellow product designers and engage with the entire Dash Hudson team.

Execution Enablement

  • Work closely with our engineering team to implement design objectives in an agile manner, adhering to defined timelines.

 

Qualifications

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Product Designer.
  • A robust portfolio showcasing your proficiency in UX and visual design.
  • Deep empathy for customers and the ability to identify and map out user journeys.
  • Experience designing for multiple platforms, with an understanding of modern design patterns for Web, iOS, and Android.
  • Skill in creating user-centric and straightforward interactions, flows, and experiences.
  • Proficiency in Figma, including efficient creation and refinement of low and high-fidelity designs and prototypes.
  • Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS is a plus.
  • Familiarity with creating and using components and auto-layout in Figma.
  • Proficiency in prototyping within Figma.
  • A keen eye for design aesthetics, including typography, gestalt principles, spacing, and hierarchy/proportions.
  • Familiarity with Agile terminology, including Given When Then and User Stories.
  • Understanding of basic heuristics and common patterns for components.
  • A strong work ethic, adaptability, and a passion for continual learning.
  • Humility with a willingness to accept constructive feedback and defend design decisions based on rationale.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to follow instructions and seek clarification.
  • A genuine passion for the design process and a thirst for knowledge. The ability to learn quickly is highly valued in our team.
