Job Summary

You will coach and develop an effective, adaptable financial planning sales team in the Hamilton Mountain, Brantford & Norfolk Market to maximize revenue and capitalize on opportunities. As a leader you reinforce with your team to achieve a superior client experience and enhance employee capability and engagement while leveraging full RBC capabilities, in platform and across the enterprise to deepen client relationships.

Specific location is to be determined and successful incumbent must be mobile within the Hamilton Mountain, Brantford & Norfolk Market. 

 

Job Description

What will you do?

  • Achieve business results through sales and market leadership, implementation of strategic direction and representation in the local marketplace
  • Work in partnership with Regional Sales teams to implement strategies, processes and disciplines to ensure a high level of financial advice and relationship management for clients with sophisticated financial needs
  • Develop an effective, adaptable sales team to ensure a differentiated experience for our clients
  • Champions sales management practices and leads in the implementation of strategic initiatives
  • Enhance employee commitment, capability and customer loyalty while leveraging full RBC Financial Group capabilities, including specialized sales forces, alternate delivery channels and service partners

 

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Minimum of 3 years leadership experience with a proven track record of managing a sales team of investment professionals
  • Proven application of business acquisition, establishing community and client relationships with success in business growth
  • Experience with emerging communications and technology (i.e. web based meetings, social media, Digital Banking and Mobile Applications)
  • Financial Planning Designation (PFP or CFP)
  • Mutual Funds License (IFIC or CSC)
  • Must have written an acceptable mutual fund branch management exam (BCO) offered by the CSI or be able to write the exam within 4 months of start date

  • Role model for relationship building, partnering and collaboration
  • Well-developed Impact and Influence competency – ability to work with a wide variety of business partners to achieve success within a market place
  • Expert knowledge of coaching and be a change management leader
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a geographically diverse and mobile team
  • A post-secondary diploma/degree, ideally in Commerce, Business Administration or related experience
